Biography
John (“JP”) Morrissey is Research Fellow specialising in particulate mechanics and the Discrete Element Method (DEM) at the University of Edinburgh.
He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering in 2013 at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He initially continued his research in Edinburgh as posdtoctoral Research Associate and currently as a Research Fellow.
His research interests include numerical simulation (DEM), experimental methods and data analytics. A significant portion of his work focuses on the development and deployment of digital models for industrial use.
