Biography
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Arno Kwade worked for 9 years as a process engineer in leading industrial positions before being appointed Director of the Institute for Particle Technology (iPAT) at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in 2005.
His research focuses on the development of in-depth knowledge, process-structure-property relationships and simulations for processes in which particles are mechanically stressed and formulated, especially for the production and recycling of lithium-ion batteries and pharmaceuticals.
Today, he is chairman of the Battery LabFactory Braunschweig (BLB) and the Centre for Pharmaceutical Engineering (PVZ) and has received awards such as the Lower Saxony Science Prize and the Hans Rumpf Medal.
