Getting to Edinburgh

Edinburgh has only one airport, with links to every major UK airport, as well as a number of International airports. It is one of the busiest airports in the UK and the busiest in Scotland. There is a 24 hour bus service (Airlink 100 & 300) and a tram that can take you to the city centre in less than 30 minutes, or you can hire a taxi.

Edinburgh is also well connected via rail with frequent trains to London (and other major southern cities) and Glasgow.

Getting around Edinburgh

Edinburgh has a well established bus network covering the city and surrounding areas and buses run 24 hours a day (selected routes) on a frequent basis. For more details on the bus service visit this.

Edinburgh Trams began operating in 2014 and has a single route that connects the airport to Leith & Newhaven via the city centre. It is approximately 35 minutes from the airport ot Princes street. Trams operate from 6am to 11pm on a frequent basis (every 8-15 minutes depending on day and time of day).
