Early Career Researcher of the Year Award

The IChemE Particle Technology Special Interest Group hosted its Early Career Researcher of the Year Award in conjunction with the CHoPS conference.

The Early Career Researcher of the Year Award celebrates excellence in communicating research outcomes in the field of Particle Technology. Eight candidates were shortlisted from over 60 submissions and presented their research to a panel of judges during the CHoPS conference.

After much deliberation by the panel one winner and two runners-up were selected and the awards, which were sponsored by Altair, were presented at the CHoPS Gala Dinner which was held in the National Museum of Scotland

Winner - Owen Jones-Salkey

Many congratulations to Owen Jones-Salkey from the University of Birmingham for winning the overall prize, with Yashodh Karunanayake (University of Sheffield) and Robert Kräuter (Institute of Solids Process Engineering and Particle Technology, Hamburg University of Technology) sharing joint runners-up.

Awards were presented by IChemE PTSIG Chair Dr Pablo García-Triñanes and IChemE PTSIG Secretary Dr Colin Hare.
